(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Entitled “Hijab in Islamic Culture”, the book by Seyyed Hamid MirKhandan was published by the Center for Women and Family Affairs of the Presidential Office.
The 184-page work is an investigation of Hijab in today’s world written in 10 chapters and published in 3000 copies.
It says that: “from a cultural point of view, cloths and coverings of women who play an important role at a society are also regarded to have an important influence on the society’s values. Hijab is itself a symbol of cultural beliefs and values of the society.”
History of Hijab, Hijab in Islam, principles and religious injunctions in this respect, varieties of Hijab, influence of Islamic covering, government and Hijab, criticism and limitations and promotion of the culture of Hijab are some of the themes discussed at the book.
Hijab in recent years has become an important cultural challenge of the world which can affect many of social interactions. In some of the Western countries it is regarded as a serious danger threatening the principles of policies and even the great investors.
